Description: Safety Help Today will be hosting a stand-down in support of OSHA's   National Safety Stand-Down Campaign. This stand down will focus on the 29 CFR 1926 Subpart M Regulations with special emphasis on hazard identification and fall prevention strategies. There will be hands-on demonstrations giving participants an opportunity to learn more about the different fall protection strategies and safe workplace practices. The goal of the Safety Stand-Down event is to prevent falls in construction and at all their sites. Free and open to the public.

Description: Approximately 700 workers employed by Imperial Pacific International (CNMI), LLC (IPI), Pacific Rim Land Development, LLC (Pacific Rim) and their subcontractors will participate in the Fall Stand-down event. The event will include an OSHA representative highlighting services and information provided by the agency in English and Mandarin Chinese. The General Contractor for IPI, Pacific Rim, will present the following training topics:

  1. Field Demonstration for proper use of Fall protection equipment
  2. Inspection of Fall protection Gear
  3. Limitations of Personal Fall Arrest Equipment
  4. Use of Guardrails
  5. Fall Protection Regulations and Guidelines
  6. Emphasis for subcontractors at the IPI job site to abide by these regulations
