Description: This host site for the OSHA Metropolitan Community College-Business & Technology Education Center will provide a stand-down event. The event will include presentations on general industry and construction fall prevention (including ladder safety), and will have equipment demonstrations by HD Supply White Cap and PMG Midwest. Iowa OSHA will be providing some of the training, and the OSHA Des Moines Area Office will be participating in the event. Registration is required.

Description: This stand-down event is open to the public and will discuss the importance of fall protection in the construction industry. Hear from the OSHA Omaha Area Director, Jeff Funke, in regards to the importance of fall protection. A two-hour Fall Protection class on how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent a job related fall hazard will be provided. Afterwards, stick around to see numerous fall arrest systems that will be on display.
