Injury and Illness: Recordkeeping
Data Collectors
OSHA works with state agencies and a contractor, Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG), to collect the work-related injury and illness data from employers. Some state agencies are under agreement with OSHA to collect data from establishments outside of their state borders. The following table provides a list of all collecting states and the states for which they collect data.

*Serves as a collecting state.
1 Central collection employers are those employers that have notified ERG or OSHA that they have one central recordkeeper for all their establishments nationwide. This central recordkeeper receives all data collection requests for the company rather than the individual establishments.
