Every day, an estimated 1,000 eye injuries occur in American workplaces. These injuries could be prevented with the proper selection and use of eye and face protection. Eye injuries cost more than $300 million per year in lost production time, medical expenses, and workers compensation. However, the effect these accidents have on the injured workers cannot be measured monetarily.
