Unfunded Mandates: Undetermined Legal Authority: 29 USC 655(b) CFR Citation: 29 CFR 1910 Legal Deadline: None Abstract: OSHA requests information and comments on a specific proposal submitted to OSHA to permit the use of a Supplier's Declaration of Conformity (SDoC) as part of, or as an alternative to, the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs) product approval process. NTRLs are third-party (i.e., independent) organizations, and many of OSHA's workplace standards require that certain types of equipment be approved (i.e., tested and certified) by an NRTL. Under SDoC, manufacturers self-approve their products. Timetable:
