OSHA used the information received in response to the ANPRM, as well as other information and analysis, and published a proposal on March 23, 1993 (58 FR 15526), that would reduce the permissible exposure limits for four glycol ethers and provide protection for approximately 46,000 workers exposed to these substances. OSHA has re-opened the record to collect updated information before determining what action should be taken. OSHA will make a decision on what action to take next in April 2003. Timetable:
