Unfunded Mandates: Undetermined Legal Authority: 29 USC 655(b) CFR Citation: 29 CFR 1910, subparts D and I Legal Deadline: None Abstract: In 1990, OSHA proposed (55 FR 13360) a rule addressing slip, trip, and fall hazards and establishing requirements for personal fall protection systems. Since that time, new technologies and procedures have become available to protect employees from these hazards. The Agency has been working to update these rules to reflect current technology and intends to issue a new proposal in the near future.
