IX. Authority

This document was prepared under the direction of Dorothy L. Strunk, Acting Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health, U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20210.

Accordingly, pursuant to sections 6(b) and 8 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (29 U.S.C. 655, 657), Secretary of Labor's Order No. 1-90 (55 FR 9033), and 29 CFR Part 1911, a new section 1910.146 is added to Subpart J of 29 CFR as set forth below.
