OSHA NAMED SEMI-FINALIST FOR INNOVATIONS IN AMERICAN GOVERNMENT AWARDS
OSHA's Expert Advisors have earned the agency semi-finalist standing in the prestigious Innovations in American Government Awards, which recognize original and effective government initiatives.
The advisors are a suite of expert computer software. They enable businesses to answer a few simple questions and receive reliable answers on how volumes of government regulations apply to their unique workplaces. The advisors are available at no cost on OSHA's website at www.osha.gov.
OSHA is one of 21 federal organizations included among the 96 semi-finalists. Semi-finalists were drawn from a field of more than 1,300 applications submitted by cabinet members, governors, mayors and county executives. The ten winners to be announced in October will each receive an award of $100,000 to help replicate their innovative programs.
The Innovations in American Government Awards are sponsored by the Ford Foundation and administered by Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government in partnership with the Council for Excellence in Government.
