WASHINGTON -- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is holding an open meeting of the Federal Advisory Council on Occupational Safety and Health (FACOSH) in Washington, D.C. on September 24, 2002. The council will meet from 1:30 p.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. in Room N3437 A/B/C/D of the Department of Labor Frances Perkins Building, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20210. The 16-person council advises OSHA on issues concerning the safety and health of federal employees. The council, composed of eight union officials representing federal employees and eight management representatives from various federal agencies, also helps establish and maintain effective safety initiatives and policies in every federal agency.
