MEMORANDUM FOR: REGIONAL ADMINISTRATORS
AREA DIRECTORS
THROUGH: LEO CAREY Director
Office of Field Programs
FROM: JOHN A. KATALINAS Director
Office of Management Data Systems
SUBJECT: Automatically Generated Reports
The Office of Management Data Systems (OMDS) has developed a new tool to
assist you in your information needs. In an effort to keep processing costs
to a minimum and to satisfy our continued requirement for current
information, OMDS has initiated an automatic report generation process for
Inspection 4 (Region by Area Office), Inspection 6 (Nation by Region) and
Inspection 8 (18(b) State by Division).
Each week, a new set of fiscal Year-to-Date reports will be generated from the current Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) database, and will be available Monday through Friday. You will receive it the first time you login to the Host via either End of Day (EOD) or Start of Day (SOD). These reports can be reviewed on your Micro, and if you so choose, the reports can be printed. The attached information sheet explains how these reports can be received and printed. If you have any questions receiving, finding or printing the report, please call the Field Systems Support Branch (FSSB) for assistance on FTS 523-6292. In the future, additional frequently requested reports may be automatically generated. If you have any questions, please call Mike Lee on FTS 523- 6441. Attachment
The reports can be found in a PRINT file in the directory /usr/lib/3780. when you find it, move it to another file in another directory to prevent it from being deleted by the cleanup scripts on the microcomputer. You can print the file using the usual draft print commands. You must use 11" x 8 1/2" or 14" x 11" inch paper. If you use 11" wide paper, you must set the pitch to 13.3 or smaller. 14" paper should handle the report even at 10 pitch. |
