P.L. 91-596 Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to electrocution and/or electric shock hazards: a) Shiver 2 farm field - During sweet corn harvesting with the use of farm field equipment called a "mule train", employees were exposed to direct or indirect contact with un-insulated 46Kv 3 phase energized overhead power lines. Among others, one feasible and accepted method to correct the hazard would be to identify hazards and prevent contact with overhead power lines following the requirements outlined in the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (2004 edition) Article 130.5, Work On or Near Un-insulated Overhead Lines, Paragraph (A) Un-insulated and Energized, and the requirements in the High Voltage Safety Act, Code 1981, Section 46-3-33, enacted by Georgia Legislation 1992, page 2141, section 1.ction
