Gold Film (Mercury)
  • Disadvantages
    • gold film sensor must be regenerated (by heating) as gold film is saturated by mercury.
    • water vapor condensation on the gold film will permanently damage it.
    • High concentrations of ammonia can react with internal filter for acid gases and create high readings.
