Gold Film (Mercury)

Disadvantages
- gold film sensor must be regenerated (by heating) as gold film is saturated by mercury.
- water vapor condensation on the gold film will permanently damage it.
- High concentrations of ammonia can react with internal filter for acid gases and create high readings.
