In accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, OSHA conducts an evaluation of the 27 approved State Plan States each fiscal year. For FY 2010, OSHA focused on assessing the States' progress in addressing the findings and recommendations from the FY 2009 evaluations, and the Corrective Action Plans that were developed in response to those evaluations. In addition, OSHA focused on States' enforcement activities during the period of October 1, 2009 to September 30, 2010. States were given an opportunity to formally comment on the FY 2010 reports, and where provided, those comments have been posted along with the report and separate appendices.
