    Speaker Notes:

Alliances have few formal program requirements and the agreements do not include an enforcement component. As previously mentioned, Alliances also offer recognition and are more focused on outreach and training

However, OSHA and the participating organization must define, implement and meet a set of short and long-term goals that fall into three categories: training and education, outreach and communication and promoting the national dialogue on workplace safety and health.

After the Alliance is signed, OSHA and the Alliance participants form an Implementation Team that has the responsibility for developing strategies and begin implementing programs or processes for meeting the defined goals.

Anyone within the signatory organizations can participate on the Implementation Team and can contribute as much time and effort as they would like.
