- November 27-28, 2007: ASSE's New England Chapter Professional Development Conference,
Worcester, Massachusetts. John Mroszczyk, ASSE, presented an overview of the 2 to 4 Hour Design
for Construction Safety Course.
- October 18–19, 2007: National Construction Safety Executives Fall Meeting,
Williamsburg, Virginia. T. Michael Toole, CI-ASCE, gave a presentation
entitled, "Design for Construction Safety."
- April 11, 2007: 2007 National Association of Occupational Safety and Health Consultation
Programs Annual Meeting, Newport, Rhode Island. T. Michael Toole, CI-ASCE; John Mroszczyk, ASSE;
and Lee Anne Jillings, then-Director, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, Directorate of
Cooperative and State Programs, USDOL-OSHA; gave presentations to 60 attendees during two
workshops entitled, "Designing for Construction Safety: A Discussion of Available Tools &
Resources."
- March 6, 2007: The Southern Company, Birmingham, Alabama. T. Michael Toole and John Gambatese,
CI-ASSE, gave a presentation entitled, "Design for Construction Safety."
- February 14, 2007: Construction Safety Conference 2007; "Design for Construction Safety"
Chicago, IL. T. Michael Toole, CI-ASCE; and Walter Jones, Laborers Health and Safety Fund North
America; delivered the presentation to 65 attendees.
- January 24, 2007: 2007 World of Concrete, Las Vegas, Nevada. Stewart Burkhammer, then-Director,
Office of Construction Services, Directorate of Construction, USDOL-OSHA, used material from the
Design for Construction Safety slide presentation in a speech to 75 attendees.
- December 6, 2006, ASCE and the National Council for Geo-Engineering and Construction Workshop;
"Trends Affecting the Geo-Community: What Does the Future Hold?" Reston, Virginia. T. Michael Toole,
CI-ASCE; and Rick Marshall, ADSC: International Association of Foundation Drilling; delivered the
presentation to 60 attendees.
- November 8, 2006: National Safety Congress, San Diego, California. John Mroszczyk, ASSE; T.
Michael Toole, CI-ASCE; and Lee Anne Jillings, Director, Office of Outreach Services and
Alliances, USDOL-OSHA; gave a presentation to 15 attendees in a workshop entitled, "Safety Through
Design: Designing for Construction Worker Safety."
- September 11, 2006: Construction Users Roundtable Annual Conference, Ypsilanti, Michigan. T.
Michael Toole, CI-ASSE, gave a presentation entitled, "Design for Construction Safety."
- August 30, 2006: Voluntary Protection Program Participants Association, 22nd Annual National
Conference, Orlando, Florida. John Mroszczyk, ASSE; Marvin Oey, CI-ASCE; and Lee Anne Jillings,
Director, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, USDOL-OSHA; delivered the presentation to 50
attendees.
- June 14, 2006: American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Professional Development Conference,
Seattle, Washington. John Mroszczyk, ASSE; John Gambatese, CI-ASCE; and Stew Burkhammer, Director,
Office of Construction Services, USDOL-OSHA; made the presentation to over 120 attendees in a
workshop entitled, "Designing for Construction Worker Safety."
- February 9, 2006: American Institute of Steel Construction's North American Steel Construction
Conference, San Antonio, Texas. T. Michael Toole, CI-ASCE Construction Site Safety Committee,
delivered the presentation to over 50 attendees.
- November 7, 2005: Geo³ Comprehensive Quality Assurance/Quality Control Technical Conference,
Dallas, Texas. Bill Nash, Construction Institute - American Society of Civil Engineers (CI-ASCE)
Construction Site Safety Committee, gave the presentation to over 100 attendees.
