Overview
Through the OSHA and AESC Alliance, the organizations are working together to provide AESC members and affiliates in the well servicing industry with information, guidance, and access to training resources to protect employees’ health and safety.
The 2nd Oil and Gas Conference was held in Dallas, TX on November 30 - December 2, 2010. OSHA Oil & Gas Safety Conference (Exploration and Production) in Dallas. The theme of the conference was “People, Equipment and Compliance,” the inter-relationships and importance of seamless interaction to achieve safety excellence. The mission was to improve safety in the Oil and Gas Industry through cooperative educational programming provided by various government and regulatory agencies and oil and gas industry experts. The idea was to build a productive and collaborative relationship between the entities through the sharing of best practices.
Approximately 1,200 registrants attended, with 75 exhibitors and over 70 diverse and informational educational workshops, seminars and sessions lead by experts in the field of Oil and Gas safety on such topics as behavior-based safety, contractor management, drilling services, industry associations, management and leadership, regulatory compliance, risk management, training and workforce renewal, well servicing and more.

Training and Education
OSHA and AESC participated in the 2nd Oil and Gas Conference held in Dallas, TX on November 30 - December 2, 2010. Training sessions included lockout/tagout, accident investigation, recordkeeping, emergency response, hazard communication, and confined spaces. Over 1200 people attended the conference which included drilling contractors, well servicing companies, oil companies, and trucking companies.
OSHA staff participated in the 2010 AESC Tradeshow & Conference, October 4-6, 2010
In Fort Worth, TX providing staff that made presentations on Current OSHA activities and the OSHA whistleblower program.
Outreach and Communication
The AESC is working with STEPS, NTEPS, and other networks involving exploration and production companies.

Summary:
This Alliance was given to Region VI effective January 1, 2008 from the National Office.
This Alliance continues to provide a means for OSHA and the oil field services companies to share information through articles in their publications and participation in both AECS and OSHA meetings.
