- Activities and Products
Evaluation Period.
This report covers the period of January 26, 2007 through September 4, 2008.
Alliance Activity.
The intention of this second year of the alliance was to develop an online
safety and health training program for laboratories, especially those covered by
1910.1450. Shortly after the decision was made to pursue this topic the MATC
implementation team member in charge of that project had a change in her job
duties. The change resulted in the incorporation of security duties to her EHS
position which was quite time consuming. She informed the OSHA team that it was
unlikely that she would complete the project in the discussed timeframes.
Shortly after the conversation about her changes in job duties the MATC contact
learned that she would be leaving her job at MATC for family reasons; she was
leaving the state entirely. Although she made a good faith effort to complete
the online training, she did not have the time to do so. As she was the only
MATC implementation team member associated with the alliance, the project was
not completed.
- Results
It is the recommendation of the Madison OSHA team that this alliance not be
renewed.
