The Grain & Feed Association of Illinois (GFAI), the Illinois Area Offices of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Illinois Onsite Safety and Health Consultation Program, Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (Onsite Consultation) recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. The Grain & Feed Association of Illinois, the Illinois OSHA Area Offices, and Onsite Consultation hereby form an Alliance to provide GFAI members participants, and workers with information, guidance, and training resources to protect employees’ health and safety. The Alliance will focus on preventing exposure to hazards related to machine guarding, lockout, slip and fall hazards, ergonomic stressors, and confined space entry. The Grain & Feed Association of Illinois, OSHA and the Onsite Consultation will work together to achieve the following training and education goals:
An implementation team made up of representatives of the GFAI, OSHA and Onsite Consultation will meet to develop a plan of action, determine working procedures, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the participants. Team members will include representatives of the Peoria OSHA Area Office. In addition, they will meet at least three times per year to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. This agreement will remain in effect for three years. Any signatory may terminate the Alliance for any reason at any time, provided they give 30 days written notice. This agreement may be modified at any time with the concurrence of all signatories.
