    Alliance Overview

    To provide roofing contractors in the state of Illinois with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect employees’ health and safety, particularly in reducing and preventing exposure to safety and health hazards found in the roofing industry.

    This report covers from January 1, 2010 to February 16, 2011

    Alliance Activity.
     
    2/18/2010 – Meeting conducted – video taping on safe use of heat welder and rhino bonder were discussed as well as OSHA update

    3/18/2010 – Meeting Conducted – video taped heat welder use and gave CSHO’s opportunity for a Q&A on roofing equipment.

    5/20/2010 – discussed residential directive being rescinded in near future. Discussed noise related to heat welder.

    10/6/2010 – Prepared presentation for annual trade show

    1/14/11 – Annual trade show. OSHA Mock Inspection with Informal Conference presentation conducted by the safety committee and OSHA.
