Alliance Overview
To provide roofing contractors in the state of Illinois with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect employees’ health and safety, particularly in reducing and preventing exposure to safety and health hazards found in the roofing industry.

Alliance Activity
4/15/2009 - Meeting conducted - Fire Safety video was completed and distributed to all members. PIV training was discussed and worked on as the safety presentation for the Annual tradeshow.
8/21/2009 - Meeting Conducted - Discussed roof cutter letter of interpretation submission as well as potential training topics such as cranes.
11/19/2009 - Discussed equipment taping of use of a heat welder and the discussion of how to submit a letter of interpretation.
1/22/10 - Annual trade show. PIV training conducted by the safety committee with OSHA providing technical data and well as accident investigation summaries.

OSHA updates are provided to the association during every meeting.
