III. Events and Products

Training and Education
  • Events

As noticed above, this past year started out reviewing comments and critiques of our Safety Expo which was held at Lehigh University, located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on October 24, 2006. Since the comments were extremely positive the members of this Alliance decided that it would be worth our efforts to conduct another Expo, while still attempting to meet our obligation of quarterly safety/health activities.

The later half of this past year has been organizing our efforts to prepare for our next Safety Expo, which has been scheduled for May 20, 2008 at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. This years topics will cover such topics as, NFPA 70E (more in-depth review), Event Analysis and Review (aka Accident Investigation II), Confined Spaces, Drug and Alcohol Testing, Respirators and Inhalation Matters, Workplace Safety Committee Operations, Hazard Awareness, Lockout/Tagout and Scaffolding to name a few.

V. Upcoming Milestones

A major milestone was the completion of our October 2006 Safety Expo. Due to its’ overwhelming success, the members of this Alliance decided to conduct another free Safety Expo event to be held in May 2008.

It is strongly recommended that this Alliance continue.
