AGREEMENT RENEWING AN ALLIANCE
BETWEEN
THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION
AVENEL, NJ AREA OFFICE
AND
THE MIDDLESEX COUNTY REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce Occupational Safety and Health Administration

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce hereby renew the Alliance agreement originally signed on November 21, 2005. In recognition of the value of a collaborative relationship to help protect employee safety and health, prevent accidents and foster a culture of safe and healthy working environments, OSHA and the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce hereby agree to continue to provide leadership, guidance, information, technical knowledge, and assistance to member organizations and the general public.

In addition to renewing the goals of the original Alliance, OSHA agrees to improve the availability of published materials, and enhance the knowledge of services offered by OSHA through articles written for the Chamber newsletter and other electronic media. We will also strive to address emergent issues such as workplace violence, ergonomics and development of safety and health programs.

OSHA Alliances provide parties an opportunity to participate in a voluntary cooperative relationship with OSHA for purposes such as training and education, outreach and communication and promoting a national dialogue on workplace safety and health. These Alliances have proved to be valuable tools for both OSHA and its Alliance participants. By entering into an Alliance with a party, OSHA is not endorsing any of that Party's products or services; nor does the Agency enter into an Alliance with the purpose of promoting a particular party's products or services.

A renewal implementation team comprised of representatives of both organizations will continue to conference or meet on a regular basis to develop a revised plan of action, track progress, and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. OSHA will afford the opportunity for representatives of the state Consultation Projects to participate as well.

This agreement will remain in effect for two years from the date of signing. This agreement may be modified at any time with the concurrence of all the signatories and may be terminated within 30 days of written notice from any signatory.

Signed May 13, 2008
