Overview

This alliance provides members with information and guidance that will help them to protect employees and reduce exposure to shipyard hazards.

Training and Education
  • Events

    November 11, 2006 - Nicole Flessner and Al Rainsberger presented two classes on chromium, one in the morning and a 2nd class if the afternoon. The class attendees included employees, owners and safety staff from most of the shipyards in the Puget Sound Region. The class also included guest speakers, including a marine chemist, to discuss engineering controls. There were approximately 75 attendees.
     
  • On November 11, 2006 Carl Halgren and Gary Brinkert presented a class on the new Hexavalient Chromium standard to approximately 15 safety and health managers representing 5 shipyards in the Portland, Oregon area.
