RENEWAL AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING AN ALLIANCE
BETWEEN
THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
METHUEN AREA OFFICE, BRAINTREE AREA OFFICE AND SPRINGFIELD AREA OFFICE
AND
MASSACHUSETTS DIVISION OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY
CONSULTATION PROGRAM
AND
MASSACHUSETTS BOARD OF BUILDING REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety, Consultation Program (MDOS-CP) and the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations (MBBRS) renew the Alliance agreement signed on May 19, 2005. OSHA, MDOS-CP and MBBRS continue to recognize the value of collaborative efforts to achieve workplace safety. OSHA, MDOS-CP and MBBRS remain committed to cooperative and proactive efforts to advance workplace safety and health. In renewing this Alliance, OSHA, MDOS-CP and MBBRS recognize that OSHA's State Plan and Consultation Project partners are an integral part of the OSHA national effort.

OSHA's Alliances provide parties an opportunity to participate in a voluntary cooperative relationship with OSHA for purposes such as training and education, outreach and communication and promoting a national dialogue on workplace safety and health. These Alliances have proved to be valuable tools for both OSHA and its Alliance participants. By entering into an Alliance with a party, OSHA is not endorsing any of that party's products or services; nor does the Agency enter into an Alliance with the purpose of promoting a particular party's products or services.

In addition, the implementation team will continue to meet biannually to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. OSHA will afford the opportunity for representatives of the Occupational Safety and Health State Plan Association and the association of state Consultation Projects to participate as well.

This agreement will remain in effect for two years from the date of signing and will automatically be renewed annually thereafter. This agreement may be modified at any time with the concurrence of both signatories and may be terminated for any reason with 30 days written notice from either signatory.
