    Speaker Notes:

    Training: Alliance Program participants have developed and delivered best practice seminars to OSHA's Compliance Safety and Health Officers (CSHOs) and other National, Regional, Area Office, State Plan State, and On-site Consultation program staff around the country. Examples of this training include:
    • Altec, Incorporated's "Mobile Crane" Best Practice Seminar
    • Industrial Truck Association's Best Practices Seminar, "Man, Machine and Environment"
    • National Association of Home Builders' Seminar "How to Build a House"
    • American Foundry Society's Foundry Best Practices Seminar
    • Laser Institute of America's Laser Safety Best Practices Seminar

    Since the inception of the Alliance Program (through Mar. 31, 2011), there have been 219 training events for more than 6,300 participants. In the first half of FY 2011, there were 16 training events for 250 participants.

    Speeches: Since the inception of the Alliance Program (through Mar. 31, 2011), representatives of OSHA's National Office, Regional, and Area Offices participated in 656 speaking engagements reaching more than 89,000 participants. In the first half of FY 2011, there were 20 speaking engagements reaching over 2,000 participants.

    Exhibits: OSHA conducts outreach for the Alliance Program by exhibiting at conferences. Since the inception of the Alliance Program (through Mar. 31, 2011), OSHA has exhibited at 320 events with more than 95,000 attendees visiting the exhibit booths. In the first half of FY 2011, OSHA exhibited at 15 events with over 2,800 attendees visiting the booths.
