  • October 27, 2005: AMI's Board of Directors Meeting, Chicago, Illinois.
    • Dan McCausland, AMI's Director of Worker Safety and Human Resources, gave an update on the OSHA and AMI Alliance to 120 attendees.
  • July 20, 2005: AMI Human Resources and Worker Safety Committee Executive Council Meeting, Washington, DC.
    • Dan McCausland, AMI's Director of Worker Safety and Human Resources, gave an update on the OSHA and AMI Alliance to 15 attendees.
  • June 29, 2005: American Meat Institute Seminar, Kansas City, Missouri. The OSHA and AMI Alliance implementation team presented a meat industry orientation seminar for OSHA's Region VII staff. AMI members from meat processing companies discussed how the meat industry address safety and health topics such as process safety management, lockout-tagout, machine guarding and ergonomics. The seminar also included a presentation by Bonnita Winningham, Strategic Team Leader, Omaha Area Office, USDOL-OSHA, on the lessons learned from the Nebraska Meat Industry/OSHA Partnership.
  • April 3-5, 2005: AMI Worker Safety, Health & Human Resources Conference in Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Atlanta, Georgia.
    • On April 5, 2005, Paula White, Director, Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs, USDOL-OSHA, gave an OSHA update.
  • April 18-20, 2004: AMI Conference on Worker Safety, Health and Human Resources [PDF - 274 KB], Hyatt Regency Phoenix, Phoenix, Arizona.
    • April 20, 2004: Cooperative Programs: Working with OSHA, Paula White, Director, Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs, USDOL-OSHA, participated in a workshop session and presented in-depth information on OSHA's cooperative programs and the OSHA/AMI Alliance.
  • April 6, 2004: American Meat Institute Seminar, Jacksonville, Florida. The OSHA and AMI Alliance implementation team presented a meat industry orientation seminar for OSHA's Region IV staff. AMI members from meat processing companies discussed how the meat industry address safety and health topics such as process safety management, lockout-tagout, machine guarding and ergonomics. The seminar also included a presentation by Doug Fletcher, Compliance Assistance Specialist, Omaha Area Office, USDOL-OSHA, on the lessons learned from the Nebraska Meat Industry/OSHA Partnership.

    • October 30, 2003: Cooperative and Collaborative Approach to Workplace Safety [PPT* - 1 MB], Lee Anne Jillings, Director, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, USDOL-OSHA, participated in a workshop session with Dan McCausland, AMI's Director of Worker Safety and Human Resources, and presented a detailed look at OSHA's Strategic Management Plan and the benefits of the OSHA/AMI Alliance.
  • March 23-25, 2003: Worker Safety and Human Resources Conference, Denver City Center Marriott, Denver, Colorado.
    • March 24, 2003: Cooperative Programs: Expanding OSHA's Impact [PPT* - 1.2 MB], Paula White, Director, Directorate of Cooperative and State Programs, USDOL-OSHA, participated in a workshop session with Dan McCausland, AMI's Director of Worker Safety and Human Resources, and presented in-depth information on OSHA's cooperative programs and the OSHA/AMI Alliance.
  • January 28, 2003: AMI Worker Safety Committee meeting, Arlington, Virginia.
    • AMI-OSHA Alliance: Working Together [PPT* - 43 KB]. Lee Anne Jillings, Director, Office of Outreach Services and Alliances, USDOL-OSHA, updated the AMI's Worker Safety Committee on the Alliance Program and discussed tentative projects that the AMI/OSHA Alliance will develop.
