Patterns of Sample Deposition

Shown are deposits of mahogany dust on filters using three different particle-size selective devices. Nylon cyclone presentation is a continual building dot in the center of the filter. The aluminum cyclone (Cutsize is approx. 4.6 micron) spreads the material over the filter more. The aluminum cyclone can be readily adapted to 25mm cassettes. The horizontal elutriator has very distinct pattern. The nylon cyclone is predominantly used by OSHA and most of the USA.
