Perhaps the most interesting portion of the survey response was the apparent widespread acceptance of the Direct-on-filter technique for either XRD or IR Sampling and analyzing using the same filter is more efficient because this bypasses the intensive sample preparation procedures previously mentioned for XRD and IR. There appears to be a need to conduct collaborative or other testing to assure the validity of this procedure.
