  • engineering techniques and safe work practices,
  • personal protective equipment,
  • administrative controls.

Examples:  
  • adjustable height work platforms (engineering technique),
  • stainless steel mesh gloves (personal protective equipment), and
  • rotating workers through jobs that use different muscle groups (administrative control).
