2. Paragraph (d) - General Requirements

(1) Paragraph (d)(1)(iii) - Gloves.
OSHA has revised the
requirement that employees handling wire rope wear hand protection to state that any type
of gloves or hand protection is permitted provided that it provides adequate protection
against puncture wounds, cuts and lacerations. Employers may provide employees with
cotton, leather or rubber gloves if such gloves provide the type of protection required.
