Logistics


Service Branch Director - General
The Service Branch Director - when activated, is under the supervision of the Logistics Section Chief (LSC), and is responsible for the management of all service activities at the incident. The Branch Director supervises the operations of the Communications, Medical and Food Units.



Service Branch Director - Specific Responsibilities
The major responsibilities of the Service Branch Director are:
  • Review Common Responsibilities.

  • Obtain working materials.

  • Determine the level of service required to support operations.

  • Confirm dispatch of Branch personnel.

  • Participate in planning meetings of Logistics Section personnel.

  • Review the Incident Action Plan (IAP).

  • Organize and prepare assignments for Service Branch personnel.

  • Coordinate activities of Branch Units.

  • Inform the Logistic Section Chief (LSC) of Branch activities.

  • Resolve Service Branch problems.

  • Maintain Unit/Activity Log (ICS Form 214, 5 KB PDF).
