A substantial body of scientific evidence supports the "cause and effect" relationship that begins with exposure to ergonomic risk factors and progresses to the development of musculoskeletal disorders. The information below helps the user relate common "effects," such as complaints of pain and recordable injuries and illnesses from OSHA logs, with risk factors that may be responsible for the injuries and illnesses. It also proposes general solutions to eliminate or minimize the identified risk factors.
